Welcome to 6th grade Science! It is my hope that at the end of this year you will have a greater appreciation for God's creation. Not only will we learn more about God's grand design for the universe but also recognize He has a grand design for each of us.
Science projects: (most projects will be done in class)
1st semester – make volcanoes, clean up an oil spill and write an essay about cleaning up an oil spill, build an earthquake proof building.
2nd Semester – create a video demonstrating Newton’s laws of motion; take an essay test, erosion prevention
Classroom Policy
Late Work Policy Semester One:
Any assignment turned in after the teacher has collected homework will be considered late. An “M” will be entered into the grade book to signal that the assignment is missing.
§ 1 day late = 20% off of graded assignment
§ 2 days late = 50% off of graded assignment
Late Work Policy Semester Two:
In order to prepare students for 7th grade we will adopt their late work policy in the second semester.
§ 1 day late= 50% off of graded assignment
§ 2 days late= 0% on the assignment
